Unfinished Business
I read recently that Vince Vaughn said the problem with one of his last movies, was that it was supposed to be a rated R comedy that got edited down to a PG13.
Well for “Unfinished Business”, he’s back in the R rating territory, he just forgot that comedies are actually supposed to be funny. A “business trip” isn’t exactly brimming with comedic possibilities, especially when there’s a lot of focus on the business aspects, but I hoped there would’ve been a lot more situations to base an entire movie around. Not a horrible movie, but not nearly enough laughs to justify seeing it on the big screen. Dave Franco completely steals the movie though with some of the only real laugh out loud scenes and lines. Vince Vaughn and Tom Wilkinson bring a few chuckles here and there, and I could’ve used a little more Sienna Miller scenes.
Better luck next time Vince, all the swearing and nudity doesn’t really matter if the scenes they’re in aren’t funny.
